Trustees and the Core Team
Plumbline Ministries is a registered charity, more than that it is primarily dedicated to relationships. This makes people the focus of our service and interest, nurturing individuals and church communities and encouraging their faith in Jesus Christ.
Simon Matthews was called to ministry as a teenager and served as Youth Director of Good News Crusade before founding Plumbline. Simon is Director of Plumbline Ministries and calls on two teams to assist with the function of leadership.
Trustees
To enable Plumbline Ministries to fulfil the requirements of the charitable status it is necessary that trustees are appointed to oversee the running and financial affairs of the charity. These individuals are men of integrity and faith, having a wide range of professional experience to accomplish their role.

Core Team
Whilst the trustees are a legal requirement of any charity organization, vision and purpose are vital to give flavour and direction to the ministry. Plumbline Ministries is a family, not a denomination or organization, but a firm basis of close knit relationships around Simon and Julia Matthews, the founders and Director (Simon).
To help shape the ministry and fulfil the vision, Simon has called together a small core team to pray together, discuss and advise on the decisions to be taken. This team makes regular contributions and meets twice a year (Spring and Autumn) to seek God for His direction. Other key contributors are also invited as required to help with input.
Julia Matthews is Simon’s wife and has worked alongside Simon to see Plumbline team develop. Julia is part of the core leadership team of Huntingdonshire Community Church and involved in many aspects of ministry as well as being a mother of three adult children.
Graeme Wylie Graeme and Frances Wylie helped to found and pastor Galway Christian Fellowship. Together with Simon Matthews they helped to develop the Plumbline family of churches in Ireland. They have established the 'Growing into your Ministry' Training School based in Athlone. Graeme has also established 'ManPower' as a ministry to men and currently ministers widely throughout Ireland.
Tim Anderson Tim trained under Simon and now runs City Life Church in Cambridge (CLC). CLC was born out of the vision God gave him, planting from scratch in 1993 with just 2 others. He has continued to lead church and oversight team with a pioneering spirit, passionate heart for God, encouraging love for people and a radical, real approach to what church should be. Called to start and encourage churches in the UK and across Europe, and married to Ania, they live in Arbury with 3 children. Committed to his community, Tim has an eye on Warsaw, likes sketching, appreciates graffiti art, and loves continental driving.
Nigel Double and Roy Wheeler are also trustees of Plumbline Ministries. |
