Overseas involvement

God has entrusted us with significant involvement in a number of overseas countries. As in the UK our policy overseas is to work with local leaders where we believe God has joined us in an ongoing relationship. Some situations have a direct relationship with Simon, while others have their primary relationship with someone else from the Plumbline team. Other significant relationships have developed between Plumbline UK churches and situations overseas over the course of time.

The extent of our involvement varies but frequently involves (via regular visits and other contact) the provision of advice and accountability, teaching and help with leadership training, financial assistance and practical aid.

Current significant relationships include:

France - Stephen and Becky Hudson and family who are working in Versailles near Paris.

Guam - Rob and Allison Zimmerman oversee a young church, Zion Fellowship, in Guam, West Pacific. In 2004 they established the Oasis Empowerment Centre to support and disciple women in recovery from drugs and alcohol. For more information visit www.elimpacific.net

India - Ben and Heather Rex and family working with local Christians reaching out to remote parts of the Himalayas region.

Malawi/Mozambique - Lapson and Ellen Mbewe lead the Christian Apostolic Church of God, which has 96 churches in Malawi and 86 in Mozambique.

Philippines - New Life Community Church, Toledo City on Cebu Island has been pioneered by Robert Garton (from England) and his Filipino wife Nelce.

Tanzania - we have significant involvement into this country via the associated ministry of Nigel and Barbara Double - Maradufu Christian Missionary Ministries

In addition to assisting these associated ministries we also have growing ministry relationships in Croatia, Poland, Romania and Tajikistan. Our UK related churches also give financially to various other overseas ministries and practical aid projects as well as encouraging appropriate members of their congregations to pursue overseas service via other missionary organizations.
