Leadership And Ministry Training

Leadership and Ministry Training is a course for those seeking to serve effectively within the local church, whether full-time, part-time or on a voluntary basis.  It will be particularly helpful to cell group leaders, youth and children’s workers, and pastoral staff.

The course is led by Simon Matthews, who has over 33 years experience in ministry from which he will share. Other members of Plumbline Ministries will also share during the course of the training.

Each session will include teaching, group work, open discussions and an opportunity for questions. A small amount of study/preparation will be required for each session, but this should be no more than 2 hours per week.

Wisdom Well

The Wisdom Well is a two-day time of review, renewal and re-envisioning, led by Simon and Julia Matthews.  The aim is to encourage couples to take stock, overcome hurdles, find fresh faith or vision and set goals for the future.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” (Proverbs 3.5-6 NKJV)

“My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment, hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They will keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble.” (Proverbs 3.21-22 NLT)

Review and renewal are essential to effective leadership. If we don’t know where we are, or where we’re going, we won’t know if or when we arrive! The support of others who have walked a similar path can bring fresh insight, faith and inspiration.
